When I started The Pink Teacup newsletter, I imagined an actual place: a little cafe with faded pink pom-pom curtains, mismatched plates, chipped vintage teacups, and a resident cat with a very large head. A place to hang out, talk about ideas, and be greeted by name when you came through the door.

That cafe never existed anywhere but in my head—until now.

For over two and a half years, I've written The Pink Teacup from inside it: a weekly newsletter about creativity as a spiritual path, about imagination's role in healing the world, and about the big, subtle things that are easy to say and hard to do—sovereignty, connection, becoming, making. It's not a mailing list for art openings, though I'll mention those too. It's the ongoing conversation behind the work you see on this site—my own thinking out loud, made public.

The newsletter is free, and it always will be. But I've recently opened the cafe up a little further—an actual place to sit down together, and a way to bring a piece of my studio into your home. Here's how it all works.

Free — Always

The weekly letter, the full archive, and the ability to leave comments and be part of the conversation in the comments. This is the newsletter itself, and it costs nothing.

Paid — $36.00/year ($3.00/month)

Once a month—first Wednesday, 10am Mountain, on Zoom—paid subscribers join me in The Pink Teacup Cafe for what I’m calling The Second Cup: an hour of real conversation. No agenda, no homework, no need to be "a real artist." Bring your beverage, bring a question if you have one, or just bring yourself.

And every so often, when the moment calls for it, that same gathering becomes a Creative Changemakers workshop instead, and we make things together—tiny signs, zines, small acts of beautiful trouble. I don't put those on a fixed schedule; they show up when the world hands us an assignment.

Art Lovers — $85.00/year

This is the tier for people who want to hold artwork in their hands.

Four times a year—every season—I send Art Lovers an original piece of mail art: something my hands made, addressed to their actual mailbox. Zines cut and folded one at a time, edged in gold, wrapped in vellum bands. Accordion books. Cootie catchers. A poster. My two favorites so far—a handmade “Z” book about the electoral college and a zine telling the ancient story of the Deer Mother, who carries the sun back to us at winter solstice.

I never know exactly what I'll make until I make it—usually it's whatever is most alive in the studio at the time. Sometimes it's a print run; sometimes it's a one-of-a-kind original.

Art Lovers is a limited edition of 48 people. When it's full, I close it, and open seats as they become available. As I write this, a few chairs are still open.
